While iOS does not allow us to customize the look of our home screen, it gives us lots of control over the widget panel which is the leftmost screen on your iPhone. I am very fond of the widget panel on my iPhone because it allows me to quickly check the weather, see my daily activities and events, add notes, and run shortcuts between other things. Since I am used to using the Widget panel, I am very surprised when I see other iPhone users not taking full advantage of it. In fact, many iPhone users do not even know how to add a new widget to the widget panel. Well, with this article, I want to change that as I will tell you how to add widgets to the iPhone:

Adding a widget to the iPhone

Adding widgets to iPhone is very simple. In fact, when you set up your phone for the first time, by default some widgets are present to show you their potential. The best part about using widgets is that you do not have to install different widget apps in order to use them. In fact, the apps you already use and use, some of them provide widgets that you can use. Here's how you can access widgets and add it to your widget screen:

1. To get to the widget screen, first slide from left to right on your Home screen. Here, find the "Edit" button below and tap on it.

2. On this page, you will see all the widgets you have access to. To add a widget to your screen, just tap the green plus button. Let's say we pressed the plus button to add the calendar widget. See how it runs in the added widget section.

3. Similarly, you can delete a widget by pressing the red minus button and then tap on the "Delete" button. Let's say we delete the "Photos" widget. Apart from this, it goes without saying, but after making any changes, remember to hit the "Done" button
