JioSaavn app goes live; Get free 90-day premium access to users

Earlier this year, Geo had announced that it would acquire the popular music streaming platform Saavn. Well, it seems that the acquisition has been successfully completed.

Yes, now you can download jiosaavn App on both iOS and Android. The merge brings a new icon for the app and some new designs as well.

Re-branding is an obvious step after an acquisition, however, I saw something strange when I searched for live music on both the App Store and Google Play Store. In the past week, reports have said that Jio saavn will focus on paid offers, which the user can do in the free version of the app.

While the Saavan app has been replaced with the Jio saavn app on iOS, this is a different story on the Play Store. For some weird reasons, the Geo Music app has been replaced with Jio saavn on the Google Play Store, rather than just like the app store. That means, Savannah is still sitting as a dedicated app on iOS, while you can still download Geo Music as a standalone app on the Google Play Store.

It is being said that Jio saavn is still available as a free-download-download app on both platforms. Changelog shared in version 6.1 of the Jio saavn app on Apple's App Store noted that all geo music users can access their individual playlists and downloads on the new app.

In addition, all Geo Prepaid and Postpaid customers will get 90 days free Savan Pro membership. Jio saavn app size is approximately 7 9 MB on the App Store and requires iOS 8.0, iPad or iPod touch. The Android version of the app measures only 15 MB size and requires Android 4.1 and above
