Oppo Reno Series Set to Launch in India on May 28

Oppo Reno phones are all set to make their debut in India at the end of this month. Chinese smartphone manufacturer sent press invoices to a launch event on Friday, 28th May.

 In wait confirms that the company will present the new Renault series in India. The company unveiled Oppo Reno, Oppo Reno 10 X Zoom Edition, and Oppo Reno 5G in China last month, and the big attraction of three phones was the Side-Swing Selfie Camera Module which has been postponed to spin in 0.8 seconds. 

And not included in it is the only camera to capture self-portraits but earpieces, front soft light, and rear LED flash also.

While Oppo's press invitation confirms that the Reno series is coming in the country, it does not specify that the company will launch only one of the three phones launched in China or the standard Oppo Reno and 10 X zoom version in the country.

 Will launch. Details of pricing and availability for the Indian market have remained a mystery for now. Given the lack of 5G telecom network in the country, Oppo Reno 5G is unlikely to reach India soon.

To remember, Oppo Reno's price in China is set to CNY 2,999 (about Rs 30,900) for 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while its 6GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs CNY 3,299 (about Rs 34,000) and is. The 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model comes in CNY 3,599 (about Rs 37,100).

 The phone is available in Extreme Night Black, Fog Sea Green, Mist Powder, and Nebula Purple.

On the contrary, Oppo Reno 10x zoom editions in China start with CNY 3,999 (about Rs 41,200) for 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage configuration. 

On the other hand, the price of 6GB RAM + 256GB storage model, CNY 4,499 (about Rs 46,400) and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is CNY 4,799 (about Rs 49,500). Oppo Reno is available in Extreme Night Black and Fog Sea Green. 

The price of 5G variants is yet to be decided in China, although it will be retail in Europe at EUR 899 (about Rs 69,300).

Regular Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10x zoom editions run ColorOS 6, which is based on Android pie, and sports an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. 

The 6.4-inch full-HD + panoramic AMOLED display in Oppo Reno is 93.1 percent with screen-to-body ratio and sixth generation Corning Gorilla Glass Protection.

 Under the hood, Oppo Reno Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 is powered by SoC, which has been added with 6GB and 8GB RAM options.

For photos and videos, Oppo Reno has a dual rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f / 2.4 lens. It also has a side-swing selfie camera module which is a 16-megapixel sensor with f / 2.0 lens.

 Selfie camera supports five portrait modes and uses AI to boost self-portraits.

Oppo Reno has 128GB and 256GB onboard storage options. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. In addition, the phone packs 3,765mAh of battery which supports VOOC 3.0 Fast Charging support.

On the other hand, Oppo Reno 10x zoom version comes with 6.6 inches panoramic AMOLED display. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 855 SoC, which has been paired with 6GB and 8GB RAM options.

In the context of optics, Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition has a triple rear camera setup which includes an f / 1.7 lens with 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor. 

The camera setup includes a periscope telephoto lens at the top with a 13-megapixel secondary sensor and 8-megapixel tertiary sensor with a super wide angle lens.

As the MWC was released in 2019 in February, the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition offers 16-160 mm full focal length coverage to enable 10x lossless optical zoom in the camera setup.

Oppo Reno 10x Zoom Edition has 128GB and 256GB inbuilt storage options. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Dual GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port. In addition, the phone packs 4,065mAh battery with VOOC 3.0 support.
