16-inch MacBook Pro Images Appear in Latest macOS Catalina Beta Update: Report

We've been hearing rumors about Apple working on a new 16-inch MacBook Pro since February this year. The new MacBook Pro variant was earlier expected to be launched in September this year, after which some reports said that it could be launched by the end of October.

 When Apple launched the 16-inch MacBook Pro, fresh evidence suggests that Apple is actually working on a new MacBook Pro version. The 16-inch MacBook Pro is expected to replace the current 15-inch MacBook Pro variants, ideally, keeping the same form factor.

An image hidden inside the latest MacOS Catalina 10.15.1 beta spotted by MacGeneration is shown, and may be our first look at the new MacBook Pro 16-inch.

 The file is labeled 'MacBook Pro 16,1', while the image looks like a thumbnail for a larger MacBook Pro, which is slightly thinner than the current 15-inch MacBook Pro model.

Although these pictures provide us with a glimpse into a new MacBook Pro model, there is not enough evidence to suggest the correct form factor. 

The 16-inch MacBook Pro model also features a new scissor-switched keyboard, which will eliminate the highly controversial butterfly keyboard present on current MacBook Pro models. 

The new keyboard is expected to replace the current butterfly keyboard design on all other MacBook Pro models by 2020.

In addition to the new keyboard design, the 16-inch MacBook Pro model is also expected to be powered by the 9th generation Intel Core processor. 

It will be interesting to see if Apple updates the existing MacBook Pro model with new chips with the new MacBook Pro model.

Apple normally holds an event until the end of October, with a few exceptions, focusing on the new iPad and MacBook models. 

With new beta images showing, it may be possible that the new 16-inch MacBook Pro model may launch in the coming few weeks. For pricing, if the 16-inch MacBook Pro model comes at a starting price of $ 3,000, don't be worried.
