GSAT-6A Launch LIVE Updates: ISRO Successfully Places Satellite Into Orbit
GSAT-6A is a high powered S-band communication satellite configured around the I-2 bus, similar to GSAT-6. Mission Life Plan for Spacecraft is about 10 years old. Satellite 6 MS-band will also provide a platform for the development of satellites, such as display of unfinished antenna, handheld ground terminals and network management techniques, which can be useful in satellite based mobile communication applications.
GSAT-6A was launched by GSLV-F0 on Thursday, March 29, 2018, from SDSC share, Sriharikota at 16:56 p.m. (IST).

New Delhi: Large launch of ISRO's home-built communications satellite - GSAT-6A - Launch of GSAT-6 in 2015 - Twenty-two of today was removed from Sriharikota. Tandem will provide two rocket signals which will allow two-way switches of data from very remote locations where mobile connectivity is still limited - which makes it very useful for the armed forces. GSLV is also called the "Naughty boy" of the Space Agency ISRO because the first five launches of GSLV have been successful. Nearly 400 scientists and engineers have been called to help launch the Satish Dhawan Space Center located on the coast near Chennai.
