Xiaomi Mi 9, Mi MIX 4 may come with Snapdragon 855 SoC, triple-rear cameras

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched Mi8-series smartphones in April this year, and their successors are expected to be launched around the same time next year. When we are a few months away from official launch, leaks have begun - giving a big idea about upcoming smartphone designs and specifications.

Prior to this, Tipster Benjamin Geskin shared a render of Xiaomi Mi 9 and the possible specifications of the smartphone. Based on the render, the Mi 9 has a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel, with an edge-to-edge display, with the possibility of coming up with a small notch at the top.

There will be a selfie snapper  and it will have 3D depth sensor. An in-display fingerprint scanner can also be seen in the render. Turning backwards, you have vertical triple camera setup and LED flash module. Out of the three cameras, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor is expected, while the other two can be 13-megapixels and 16-megapixel sensors. There is no word yet on aperture size, or lens (telephoto / wide-angle).

And now a new note has come out in a research note from Hong Kong's GF Securities, which confirms that both the Mi9 and Mi MIX 4 smartphones will probably be operated by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 (or Snapdragon 555) SoC, and triple- Rear camera will claim setup. The Mi 9 will probably come with 6GB / 8GB RAM and like the Mi Miix 3, it can also be offered in 10GB RAM variants. While there is no word on the storage variant, the smartphone is likely to operate with a 3,700mAh battery fast charging (Quick Charge 5.0) and wireless charging feature. Finally, the smartphone can also get 5G connectivity version.

In Mi MIX 4 it will be clearly shown that it is called periscope lens which will offer maximum optical zoom without having more physical location. Mi MIX 4 can also have a foldable display, although the company has yet to make a decision on this. Although other details such as front camera resolution, software and pricing are not available at this time, we hope to leak more in the next few months.
