A few days ago, Xiaomi launched its affordable Redmi Note 7 with a large back camera of 48 megapixels.
While the official announcement included major attractions, it missed a significant upgrade. Radmi note 7 has water sealed ports and buttons, which are now revealed by CEO Lei Jun.
In a separate video on Weibo, June announced that the engineering team made a lot of efforts to design and as a result, Redmi Note 7 has watertight seals for all the weaker points of the handset such as loudspeakers, SIM card trays, USB-C.
Charging port, 3.5mm audio jack, through buttons (power and volume keys) and camera modules (via GSMArena).
It is being said that, Redmi Note 7 is not IP-certified. It is close to some extent to be a splash-proof.
The company claims that Redmi Note 7 has passed the same quality test as the key model of Xiaomi.
It will come with China's extended warranty period of 18 months instead of 12 months.

Separating the Xiaomi Mi lineup, brand Redmi will be an independent brand.
According to Lei Jun, the decision of the sub-brand is taken to ensure that the Xiaomi Redmi brand is more focused.

In China, Redmi Note 7's base starts with 3GB of RAM + 32GB storage variant CNY 999 (about Rs 10,000).
Redmi Note 7 has two other variants, with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage option and 6GB RAM + 64GB with storage option.
Their prices are CNY 1,199 (about 12,000 rupees) and CNY 1,399 (approx. 14,000 rupees), respectively. They will go on sale in China from January 15.
