Realme 5G Smartphones to Be Launched in 2019, India CEO Says

Realme said that after launching the network in China and India, it will launch 5G handsets.

Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has announced that this year will be one of the first handset makers to launch 5G products.

After the smartphone maker's network in China and India is ready, it comes about one month after launching the 5G handset.

The company's latest phone is Realme X, which is launched with a dual-camera setup with Snapdragon 710 SoC, 8GB RAM, and 48-megapixel camera and 5-megapixel depth sensor.

In China, the price of Realme X starts at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs 15,400) for 4GB + 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB + 64GB version will carry the price tag of CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs 16,400) and 8GB + 128GB. Retail at CNY 1,799 (approx. 18,500)

Realme X is expected to be launched in India in H2 2019, with a slightly different specification.

Realme's parent company, Oppo, has already launched its first 5G smartphone as Oppo Renault 5G in April.
